In the Netherlands, it is mandatory to insure your motorcycle. You must insure your motorcycle at least for legal liability (WA). You are then insured if you cause damage to someone else.
You can also insure damage to your own motorcycle. If you choose WA + limited casco, your motorcycle is insured for damage you cannot do anything about. Think of theft, fire, a collision with animals and hail or storm damage. Do you prefer all-risk insurance for your motorcycle? Then choose WA + full hull. Your motorcycle is then not only insured for damage through no fault of your own, but also for damage caused by your own fault. You ultimately decide what coverage you want for your motorcycle.
