Why is it important?

A good welfare program includes a diet that promotes maintenance and growth, while managing health, maintaining bone structure and good litter quality.
During stressful events such as heat, transportation, antibiotic therapy, vaccination and even feed change, the ability to absorb and utilize nutrients for maintenance and growth can be compromised due to reduced intestinal barrier integrity and immune function.
