Impact resistance
Stamylan® UH displays excellent notched impact strength, even at very low temperatures.
No break occurs if usual test methods for engineering plastics are applied. To obtain fracture, the notch prescribed in ISO 179 (Charpy) or in ISO 180 / ASTM D256 (Izod) is replaced by a double 14° V-notch (for details see respectively ISO 11542-2B (Charpy) and ASTM D4020 (Izod)).
