Wear resistance

Abrasion ratings are expressed as the ratio of the weight loss of the material and the weight loss of the reference standard. For example, Stamylan® UH 210 has been given an abrasion rating of 100 as a reference standard. By way of comparison, materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, polyamide (PA6 or PA66), polyacetal (POM) and polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE) demonstrate far higher abrasion ratings with this test.
